AUSTIN-Auction.com will open a new office here on Sept. 3. The online real estate marketplace has taken down 7,000 square feet at Stone Lake Office Park, which will be its first location dedicated to client management and business development.
The location at 4030 W. Braker Lane will be led by Downs Deering, senior vice president of VIP pperations, who joined the company in July from Waste Management, and Michael Dean, vice president of residential sales, who recently joined Auction.com from Hewlett Packard.
Auction.com has already hired several local sales and business development executives from companies including Dell, LegalZoom, and Bazaarvoice. The company anticipates hiring up to 40 employees by year-end.
