DALLAS-CEI Engineering has renewed and expanded space for its area regional office. Specifically, the Arkansas-based company signed for more than 3,500 square feet, adding to the 2,251 square feet it currently occupies at Triwest Plaza's first floor.

With the recent renewal and expasion, the civil engineering and environmental consulting company occupies approximately 5,800 square feet on the first floor at 3030 LBJ Fwy. (Interstate 635).

Jerry Averyt with Henry S. Miller Brokerage partnered with Drew Griffin of Richard Bowers & Co. to represent the tenant. Russ Johnson and Travis Gallivan of Peloton Commercial Real Estate represented the landlord.

Phoenix

  • The 32-unit Casa Quieta Apartments at 2745 W. Colter St. sold for $1 million. Danny Lee with Sperry Van Ness represented the seller.

Scottsdale

  • EBCO Inc., the operating company for Arizona's La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries purchased a .64-acre parcel at 6828 E. Camelback Rd. from TD Note LLC. The parcel currently has a 10,096-square-foot office building; however, plans are to replace most of the building with a new concept La-Z-Boy store. Bob Kling of Lee & Associates represented the seller. Bob Crum with Ross Brown Partners and Darren Pitts of Velocity Retail Group represented EBCO in the $2.8 million transaction.

TEXAS

Center

  • AA Storage at 102 Riggs St. has sold. Jon Danklefs and Nicholas Ling with Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services represented the seller, a private investor in the sale of the 124-unit asset.

Dilley

  • The 25-unit Sandia Apartments at 111 Pipes Dr. has sold. Moses Siller with Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services negotiated the transaction between the buyer and seller, both private investors.

Houston

  • Byers Street Properties acquired the retail and office portion on the ground floor of the Bayou Lofts building at 915 Franklin. In addition to the 26,397 square feet of street level space at 915 Franklin, the purchase included the first two levels of the Topek Building and Parking Garage, which was incorporated into the Bayou Lofts building redevelopment. Mike Hassler and Todd Casper with CBRE arranged the transaction on behalf of the Dallas-based seller, Spire Realty Group. Bayou Lofts was built in 1910 to serve as the headquarters of Southern Pacific Railroad Co.

Katy

  • Amani Investments Inc. acquired a 40,000-square-foot building on three acres at 25722 Kingsland. David L. Cook, Jeff G. Peden and Will L. Condrey with Cushman & Wakefield of Texas Inc. represented the seller, MetroBank NA, in the transaction.

Pasadena

  • Harris Professional Pavilion LP has sold the 17,636-square-foot medical office building known as Harris Professional Pavilion at 4600 Fairmont Pkwy. Buyer Fairmont Whitestone Group LLC was represented by Greg Williams of Qualified Properties. Marshall Clinkscales of Colliers International represented the seller.

Schertz

  • Biltmore Construction Management LLC sold a 10,000-square-foot, free-standing, single-tenant building at 9492 Corporate Dr. The building is leased to Volvo Construction Equipment Rents Inc. Luis Garza with Transwestern represented the seller.

Mesa

  • An Allstate Insurance Co. franchisee leased 1,250 square feet at Tapanema Plaza, 6740 E. University Dr. Michael Franks and Michael Gaida with Sperry Van Ness brokered the lease. In a separate transaction, Gaida also represented both parties in a leased signed by Minds Divine at Stapley & McKellips

  • Weitz Company Arizona signed a 10,500-square-foot lease at Park One, 2111 E. Highland Ave. Justin Himelstein and Jason France with Cassidy Turley negotiated the transaction on behalf of Weitz. Brett Abramson with Jones Lang LaSalle represented the landlord McCarthy×Cook of Costa Mesa, CA.

  • Peter Madrid joined Cushman & Wakefield of Arizona Inc. as communications specialist. He comes to his new position from Arizona Commercial Real Estate Magazine, where he served as editor. A veteran journalist, Madrid spent more than 30 years in the newspaper industry as a sportswriter and sports editor. He previously worked at the Kansas City Star, USA Today (he was one of the original staff members when the paper launched in 1982), the Tucson Citizen, and the Arizona Republic. Madrid graduated from the University of New Mexico, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. He will also be an adjunct professor this fall at ASU's Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications.

  • Mandy Edwards joins CBRE as global Chief Information Officer. Her previous job was global Chief Information Officer with Sitel. She has also served as CIO with GE's Global eXchange Services Division.

Houston

  • Wyatt McCulloch has joined CBRE's Office Occupier Team and will work closely with Executive Vice President Lucian Bukowski, who joined CBRE in July. McCulloch joins CBRE from Jones Lang LaSalle. Before then, he spent six years at Detail Company Adventures, a top international hunting and fishing sporting agency, where he had multiple roles, including director of business development. He received his MBA from University of Texas at Austin.
