DALLAS-CBS Radio's long-term lease renewal at 4131 N. Central Expwy. has also led to the rebranding of the 12-story office building. Once known as Fitzhugh Central, the 172,945-square-foot building is now being called CBS Radio Tower.

The building, owned by Gaedeke Group, houses CBS Radio Dallas-Fort Worth's six local radio stations as well as the Texas State Network across three floors. The new name will be reflected in interior and exterior signage.

In a long-term lease renewal, CBS Radio has added more than 11,000 square feet of space, much of which will accommodate a first-floor reception area and broadcast studio. Both will be adjacent to the building lobby, which features Gaedeke Group's recently installed artwork, the Icons of Dallas.

“We're pleased to share our name with the building that's been our home for the past 10 years,” says Brian Purdy, senior vice president and market manager for CBS RADIO Dallas-Fort Worth, “and we're looking forward to additional changes that will make for an even more positive experience for our visitors and employees.”

Gaedeke has retained Pat McGill of Magill Associates, PA, to design an architecturally distinct "breezeway" to deflect wind and rain and enhance the walkway from the 172,945-square-foot CBS Radio Tower's parking garage to its main entrance. Breezeway construction will begin soon.

"Clearly CBS Radio Dallas-Fort Worth recognizes the value of Fitzhugh Central," says Belinda Dabliz, vice president of leasing for Dallas-based Gaedeke. "It's the day-to-day service provided over the years by our property management team, led by Kathy Cater, that closed this deal.”
