SANTA CLARA, CA-The Turner/Devcon Joint Venture, the lead contractor for Levi's Stadium, said today it is passing the two-thirds completion point on the construction of the stadium and is on track for the start of the 2014 NFL season.

The project team has already achieved a number of construction milestones. Turner/Devcon (TDJV) has begun installation of seating and construction on the concession stands. The curtain wall enclosing the stadium's luxury boxes is nearing completion and fit-out of the stadium's interiors is nearly 50% complete. Upcoming milestones include installation of solar panels and the playing field, which are scheduled to begin in September and December, respectively. The stadium is pursuing LEED Gold certification from the U. S. Green Building Council.

As the TDJV team continues to make steady progress towards completion of the stadium, they have awarded the final contract on the construction of the stadium to Metro Contract Group/VCO. Metro Contract Group/VCO, based in Pleasanton, will supply several key packages of furniture, fixtures and equipment. This award marks the latest step in TDJV's outreach and recruitment efforts of small and local businesses in construction of the stadium and brings the total contracts awarded to small business enterprises to $46 million.
