DALLAS-Developer Alamo Manhattan plans to build 208 luxury rental units on the Uptown site that currently occupied by a popular Tex-Mex restaurant.

The Dallas Morning News reported this week that Mattito's will move in November to the Centrum Building in Oak Lawn. The restaurant will have exponentially more space at its now location, and Dallas-based Alamo Manhattan will erect a five-story apartment building on the site and adjoining property.

A report in the Dallas Business Journal indicates that restaurants in Uptown are being squeezed by residential development spurred by market driven conditions and zoning.
