DALLAS-Craig Hall and Hall Financial Group launched the ceremonial groundbreaking of its mixed-use Hall Arts project, located in the Arts District. The event took place Sept. 18, just two days after the real work on the project's first phase began.
Phase one involves structural work underground in the Hall Arts parking garage. The initial phase also includes construction of a 450,000-square-foot, class A office building at 2323 Ross Ave. The building is being anchored by KPMG, which has signed a deal to take down 150,000 square feet for its Dallas headquarters. As such, the building is dubbed KMPG Plaza. Other tenants taking place upon the building's completion in 2015 include UMB Bank (6,000 square feet); Jackson Walker LLP (104,000 square feet) and a Stephan Pyles restaurant. Hall Financial Group will also take space at Hall Arts in 2015 – the company's corporate headquarters is currently at Hall Office Park in Frisco, TX.
Hall Arts is a five-acre, mixed-use real estate project that will be built out in three phases on two full-city blocks in downtown Dallas. The Phase I and II sites are bordered by Ross Avenue, and Leonard, Crockett and Flora Streets.
The Texas Sculpture Walk at Hall Arts in the park will be a 21st century sculpture collection containing the best work available from artists living and working in the state today. The contemporary sculpture will be on display for the public's enjoyment along walkways throughout the property. Phases II and III of Hall Arts will also prominently feature sculpture and art by artists from all over the world.
Eddie Abeyta of HKS Inc. is the project's chief design architect. Turner Construction is the Phase I general contractor. Hall Arts will be managed and leased by onsite owner and developer Hall Financial Group.
