JERSEY CITY, N-NAI James E. Hanson has been named exclusive leasing agent for nine units at the Lackawanna Building, the huge retail/office/industrial/ complex outside the Holland Tunnel here.
Steve Pastor and Russell Verducci are agents for the units, which have a total of 385,000 square feet in the 1.3-million-square-foot building.
Located in Jersey City at 629 Grove Street, a block from the tunnel, the site is also close to NJ Transit Light Rail and PATH trains, the New Jersey Turnpike, Route 78, Routes 1 and 9, Route 440 and the Pulaski Skyway.
“The site is ideal for a variety of tenant types whose businesses rely on providing clients and customers with quick delivery times to NYC, as the property offers immediate access to a vast network of roadways,” Pastor said.
The property currently has 30 diverse tenants with businesses ranging from printing, textile warehousing and moving and storage to retailers, internet technology, book distribution and event planning.
In 2010, the “Cake Boss” moved in. Carlo's Bakery, a century-old Hoboken shop made famous by the cable television program, leased 30,000 square feet on the property's ground floor as a bakery, distribution center and office headquarters
Another 20,000 feet on the first floor of the complex was repositioned as a retail center, the Shops at Lackawanna.
The property is situated adjacent to an A&P/Best Buy-anchored shopping center.
Available spaces range in size from 20,400-to-144,480 square feet.
