LOS ANGELES-Landscape architecture firm EPTDesign has promoted Scott Horsley and Claire Latané of the Pasadena office and Ian Morris of the Irvine office to senior associate. These three team members have been an essential component to the company's growth and reputation.
“Scott, Claire and Ian each foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork within the firm as well as among our clients,” says Nord Eriksson, principal of EPTDesign. “This, along with their ability to cultivate innovative ideas, has been integral in furthering the company's success. I'm very pleased to announce their promotions on behalf of the firm.”
The three new senior associates each play a different operational role in the firm. Horsley, who has been with the firm since 1996, oversees mentorship and recruitment. He works to motivate other team members and represent clients' needs to ensure design projects are executed to the firm's high standards. Working out of the Pasadena office with Horsley, Latané manages the firm's sustainable design practices with a special focus on green schools and communities. She is a certified LEED-accredited professional and published author.
Morris, who works in the firm's Irvine office, is a 15-year industry veteran and heads the firm's mentorship program to guide designers in drawing and design techniques.
These team members have each worked on large projects for the firm, including designing landscape for the Village at Irvine, a 1,500-unit mixed-use community, Disney's Prospect Studios, USC's Caruso Catholic Center and Our Savior Cathedral and the LEED Platinum-certified Frontier Project. Earlier this year, GlobeSt.com reported that EPTDesign would lead the landscape architecture and streetscape for the downtown Macy's Plaza, renamed the Bloc, renovation project.
