ATLANTA—Axiall Corporation, a chemicals and building products company, is staying put in a prime Atlanta office hub—and upgrading its space. The company inked a 49,293-square-foot lease at Northpark Town Center in North Atlanta in the Central Perimeter submarket.

Formed earlier this year with the merger of Georgia Gulf Corp. and PPG Industries' chemicals business, Axiall will establish its corporate headquarters in the 586,256-square-foot 400 Northpark building. The company plans to move in during December and create 50 to 100 new jobs.

Jones Lang LaSalle vice presidents Eric Vayle and Keene Reese represented Axiall in the transaction. Richard Nash, a senior vice president at CBRE, represented the landlord.
