FORT COLLINS, CO-The renovation of Foothills Mall may be a year late, and be 10% short, compared to earlier plans.

Construction on the $313 million project is now expected to start this winter in Midtown Fort Collins, according to a report in The Coloradoan. Improvements will include a new 100,000 square foot building for an existing Sears store, the paper says. That store will be completed first, and the mall would be partially open in spring 2015 and fully open in time for holiday shopping. Mall officials originally hoped to open the mall in time for the 2014 holiday season.
