HOUSTON-A Dallas-based Mill Creek Residential said Wednesday it will build a luxury apartment complex across from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

Mill Creek plans to break ground later this month on the 265-unit Premier Medical Center and to deliver the first apartments by April 2015, according to a report in the Houston Business Journal. The six-story project will be built around a parking garage.

The apartment developer is looking to grow its local presence and is seeking more opportunities, the Journal notes. Mill Creek also has two other apartment communities under construction in Houston that are expected to open for leasing next year.
