$45M Luxury Hotel Breaks Ground

BELL GARDENS- R.D. Olson Construction breaks ground on a seven-story, 100-room luxury hotel project at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens.

BELL GARDENS-Construction has started on the Bicycle Casino‘s new $45 million luxury hotel, the Bicycle Casino Hotel. With R.D. Olson Construction leading the project, construction is expect to be complete in the first quarter of 2015.

California Governor Jerry Brown attended the ground breaking ceremony to endorse the project , which is expected to have a positive economic impact on Bell Gardens. The casino is currently the city’s largest employer, and the hotel will add an estimated 250 additional jobs while the year-and-a-half development project will create 300 construction jobs. This job creation is significant considering the city currently has a 16.3% unemployment rate.
