• Northwest Valley Property & Associates LLC sold the 20-unit Sun West Apartments at 2501 W. Elm St. to Nucare Properties LLC of Phoenix. Brian Smuckler and Jeff Seaman of CBRE's Phoenix office represented the Phoenix-based seller in negotiating the $485,000 sales transaction.

The borrower was able to pull out his original equity from a property that was foreclosed upon by a servicer three years ago, while lowering his rate by more than 1% on a loan scheduled to mature in two years.

In his new job, Cowen will focus on representing local and national retailers, shopping center leasing and development, and investment sales. Previously, Cowen worked at Cushman & Wakefield after his own real estate firm, Cowen Commercial LLC, was acquired by the company. He attended the University of Arizona.
