FORT LEE, NJ–Vatech America,a digital imaging provider, will move its headquarters from the Meadowlands to Fort Lee, taking 16,000 square feet of space at 2200 Fletcher Ave.

Cushman & Wakefield, leasing and management agents for the property, arranged the deal, and touted the burst of new tenant blood.

“This is a welcome transaction for the Fort Lee office market, which has been stagnant with the exception of existing tenants moving within the market,” said Christian Politan of C&W's East Rutherford-based team that handed the transaction. “This created some positive absorption for the market.”

Vatech America needed to expand and the Fort Lee building fit its requirements perfectly, said Politan. He and Richard Baumstein and Marc Graham represented the landlord, James Campbell Company.

The tenant was represented by Sarah Kim of Z Realty Group.

There is another 25,782 square feet available at 2200 Fletcher, a 215,500-square-foot, seven-story building. Built in 1988, the office structure was recently substantially upgraded.

It is located on five acres near the George Washington Bridge , I-80, I-95, Palisades Interstate Parkway and Route 9W. Amenities include an atrium lobby, fitness center, café, parking garage, security system and 24/7 on-site security.

“More building improvements are being made going forward,” said Politan. “We are seeing considerable interest in the remaining space and anticipate additional announcements soon.”

The Hawaii-based James Campbell Company acquired 2200 Fletcher Avenue as part of the company's expansion into the New Jersey/New York market.
