DARIEN, CT–Healthcare real estate is continuing to flourish in the Northeast. CBRE's Stamford office represented a private family trust in the purchase of the Darien Medical Center, an 18,764-square-foot office building that is 100% leased and occupied by Stamford Health Systems.

Sold for $8.4 million, or $445 per square foot, by a New York investment advisor, the property's new owners were represented by CBRE's Gene Pride, SVP and Jeff Dunne, vice chairman. The property was built in 1997 and expanded in 2007 to meet the growing needs of the Stamford Health Systems.

Says Pride, “This asset satisfies the Darien Medical Center's long-term investment objectives of acquiring high-quality buildings in exceptional locations with long-term leases in place.”
