ELIZABETH, NJ-Bussel Realty Corp. closed on 160,000 square feet worth of industrial leases in Union County alone during the third quarter. A total of 147,000 square feet was leased to three tenants at one building in Elizabeth.

Steve Bussel, president of the company, says the county's proximity to Port Newark/Elizabeth, the New Jersey Turnpike and other key highways, makes it a 'red hot' location in a generally healthy northern New Jersey market.

“With the raising of the Bayonne Bridge, and larger container ships coming into the Port in the near future, we only expect this trend to continue,” says Bussel.

BRC's third quarter transactions included:

· 11,100 square feet at 652-654 Rahway Avenue in Union Township leased to Robinson Elevator Group; Herb Zimmerman of BRC represented the tenant and the landlord, Murray Construction.

· 70,000 square feet at 1000 Jefferson Avenue in Elizabeth leased to Duro Standard Products, with Jordan Metz of BRC representing the landlord, Templer Associates; and

· 52,000 square feet at that building leased to McGinley Transport Services, with David Posner of BRC representing the tenant and Metz representing the landlord; and

· 35,000 square feet leased to I&L Distribution, with Posner representing the tenant and Metz representing the landlord.

BRC is based in Edison.
