KANSAS CITY—Cassidy Turley, a national commercial real estate firm, has just been selected by the Kansas City-based Commerce Tower Group, LLC to provide project leasing and management services for Commerce Tower at 911 Main St. in the downtown submarket.

Michael Lanning, senior vice president and city leader; Thomas Houts, vice president; and Jeffrey Winters, associate vice president, will lease the iconic, 463,495-square-foot building, which CTG will redevelop.

CTG plans to spend about $70 million converting the tower, originally built in 1964 and which currently has a high vacancy rate, into a mixed-use property with 160,000-square-feet of office space, approximately 265 class A apartment units, and retail space on the first floor. Offices will remain on floors 2-14 and 24-30. Apartments will be located on floors 15-24.

The firm expects to complete the office space in the summer of 2014, and deliver the entire project by the spring of 2015. Additional amenities include a fitness facility, conference rooms and a rooftop green space and pool.
