SOFIA, Bulgaria-Bulgaria now has a new trade association representing commercial office building owners and managers.

Tishman International's Sofia Airport Center, a mixed-use business complex with nearly 2 million square feet of office and logistics space, has partnered with a few select other large commercial building owners, to establish the Association of Commercial Building Owners, an officially registered Bulgarian trade association. The new organization will be based in Sofia, the nation's capitol.

Similar to its American counterpart, The Building Owners and Managers Association or BOMA, the new association's mission is to advance the interests of association members and the entire commercial real estate industry through advocacy, education, research, standards and information. The organization's immediate objectives include establishment of best market practices and stimulation of development of the sector.
