NEWARK, NJ-The 570 Broad Street tower here has a new tenant: Reliable Health Solutions, a healthcare insurance and business outsourcing company, has leased 10,000 square feet that was specially fitted out for it by The Berger Organization.
Berger, which owns and operates the 15-story tower, constructed the new headquarters office on the building's 7th floor.
Reliable Health Solution's CFO, Robert Sullivan, said the company moved to Newark with an eye to the “talented workforce” available, and proximity to numerous colleges and universities.
“We are excited about being in both an industry and city that will see tremendous growth potential in the years ahead,” Sullivan said.
Brendan Berger represented his company in negotiating the long-term transaction. NAI Geis of Philadelphia served as tenant broker.
“Newark's progress as a 24/7 urban hub continues to attract growing companies like Reliable Health Solutions,” Berger said. He said the insurance company was taking advantage of “an opportunity to gain a foothold – with custom-designed, affordable space – in the heart of a city that is again emerging as one of New Jersey's best places to do business.”
Located across from Newark's Washington Square Park, 570 Broad offers quick access to Newark Penn Station and Broad Street Station; local dining, shopping and lodging; and entertainment venues like Prudential Center, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and Newark Bears Stadium. The property also is within walking distance of the Newark campuses of Seton Hall and Rutgers universities, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Berger has a controlling interest in the partnership that owns 570 Broad. During the past few years, the ownership has updated the building's technology and installed new high-speed elevators, HVAC and security systems, and fiber-optics.
The company is in the midst of additional infrastructure improvements. Plans call for adding parking, a conference room for use by tenants, and a fitness center for tenants and their employees.
Other tenants at 570 Broad include State Farm Insurance, Chase Manhattan Bank, Baldassare & Mara, PC Tech and Lycatel. Full floors of 15,000 square feet, divisible to 2,500 square feet, remain available.
