HANOVER TOWNSHIP, PA-Webgistix, an e-commerce order fulfillment service, has leased a 108,000-square-foot building in Hanover Township to expand its nationwide network.

Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services arranged the deal. Mericle is in the midst of developing speculative buildings and preparing more than 90 northeastern Pennsylvania sites for e-commerce retailers.

Webgistix, which promises 1-2 delivery for 98% of U.S. e-commerce buyers, will begin operations by the end of the month at the Hanover facility. The building at 320 Stewart Road is located at Hanover Industrial Estates.

Webgistix was founded to assist e-tailers manage their supply chains with cloud-based services that automate and accelerate order fulfillment.

Over 12 years, it has built a customer base that spans five continents and more than 20 countries, operating through its fulfillment centers in New York, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Reno, and now Pennsylvania.

“Demand for our fulfillment services is growing rapidly as more retailers recognize the value of a coast-to-coast fulfillment network to shorten delivery times and cut costs,” said Joseph DiSorbo, founder and president of Webgistix.

“The location of the Hanover Township facility is also ideal for expedited freight shipments from Port Elizabeth in New Jersey,” said DiSorbo.

Earlier this year, Tokyo-based Rakuten, Inc. acquired Webgistix. Rakuten offers e-commerce and Internet services in more than 25 countries and territories and ranks among the Top Ten Internet companies in the world.

Mericle's Bill Jones coordinated the lease transaction. “We are hoping the company will grow with us,” Jones said, and he noted that the existing facility in Hanover is expandable to almost twice its current size.

Mericle has worked with many other e-tailers, including Neiman Marcus, Amazon.com, Boden USA, Baby Age, CVS Caremark, American Eagle Outfitters, Benco Dental, NBTY, and All About Dance. The real estate company prepares and markets sites through its patented ReadyToGo Program.
