EDGEWATER, NJ-GFI Mortgage is working directly with brokers and attorneys on sales at a nearly complete luxury condominium building on the Hudson River bank here. The Pearl, a redesigned office building set between the George Washington Bridge and the Lincoln Tunnel, and close to ferry terminals, has 71 units.

GFI is acting as a direct mortgage lender for the residences, providing in-house processing, underwriting and closing support.

The Edgewater building was originally designed as a research facility in 1953 by Skidmore Owings and Merrill, architects of New York City's Freedom Tower at One World Trade.

It has been redeveloped by Natural Resources of New York City, partnering with Lessard Design Associates and Alan Tanksley Interiors. The Pearl has new full-height windows, natural finishes and sustainable energy systems.

Condo residents will have access to a 24-hour concierge, fitness center, outdoor heated pool and rooftop deck. All units have10-foot ceilings, Bosch appliances and security and keyless entry systems.

Unit prices start at $650,000.
