KEASBEY, NJ-Mainetti, the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of garment hangers, has relocated its U.S. headquarters to 110,000 square feet here from Secaucus.

In an expansion move, the manufacturer took space at 300 Mac Lane, according to Cushman & Wakefield which brokered the long-term lease transaction.

C&W's Andrew Stypa and Daniel Badenhausen, based in the company's Edison office, handled the deal with landlord Federal Business Centers.

“Our client initially wanted to remain in Secaucus, in order to ensure a smooth transition for its employee base,” Stypa said. “After exploring the Meadowlands market, we expanded the search slightly south to the Exit 10 marketplace. The Mac Lane property presented a truly turnkey opportunity with the added benefit of a flexible and cooperative landlord.”

Mainetti supplies hangers to hundreds of major garment manufacturers. In the United States, it also operates Mainetti Hanger Stores for consumers.

“The building was previously fit out with 8,000 square feet of office space and provided room to incorporate a new sorting area for recycling hangers,” said Badenhausen. “The space is perfect and projects a great image. Even more importantly, the building has excellent roadway access, which provides an easy commute for Mainetti's employees.”
