NEW YORK CITY-Monday Properties has created a new position: EVP-asset management, and hired Sean Sullivan to fill the role. Most recently responsible for the management and operations of the 11,200-unit Peter Cooper Village & Stuyvesant Town, Sullivan will oversee asset management of 230 Park Ave.—Monday Properties' headquarters—as well as the firm's three million-square-foot portfolio of office buildings in Rosslyn, VA.
He also will play an important role in maintaining and servicing the firm's relationships with institutional financial partners in those investments, according to the hire announcement. Monday Properties created this position in order to make its asset management operations more efficiently, chairman and CEO Anthony Westreich tells GlobeSt.com.
“We created this position to streamline asset management internally and for our partners,” he says. “Sean's experience in multiple asset classes and markets makes him the ideal candidate to bridge leasing and property management, as well as help the company assess and manage future growth.”
“He brings a depth of knowledge in all aspects of major asset classes, particularly office and multifamily properties, involving hundreds of investments and representing more than 135 million square feet of institutional real estate on a global basis.”
Sullivan has 22 years of experience in asset management, corporate real estate and investment management in various US and international markets, as well as different property types—most notably office and multifamily. He began his career in property management and corporate real estate at Morgan Stanley, followed by asset management for DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners (the real estate merchant banking arm of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette) and Investcorp, property operations for Tishman Speyer and Avalon Bay Communities, and global asset management for Aetos Capital (an opportunity fund), with particular focus on Japan and Greater China.
