DENVER-AEW Capital Management has awarded RiverRock Real Estate Group, a West Coast based commercial real estate management and leasing firm, with the management of a 630,000-square-foot of portfolio office and industrial space located in Denver and surrounding communities. This is the second new AEW management assignment the past three months.
In July, as GlobeSt.com previously reported, RiverRock was awarded management of a 2.6-million-square-foot of portfolio office and industrial space located in Southern California and Arizona. Beginning November 1, RiverRock will take over property management and engineering of five properties throughout the Denver metropolitan area. RiverRock will add approximately eight employees who currently oversee the management and engineering of the portfolio.
Steve Core, president of RiverRock Real Estate Group, tells GlobeSt.com that “As the economy continues to improve and markets such as Denver are receiving renewed attention from institutional investors. RiverRock is excited to have the opportunity to expand into the greater Denver area.”
Several of the firm's clients, he adds, are looking to expand into the region, so the timing “couldn't be any better for us to bring our specialized delivery platform to Denver.”
In the past 12 months, RiverRock has grown its management portfolio by 10 million square feet. With the addition of this contract, the company now manages more than 26 million square feet of commercial space.
