ALAMEDA, CA-The developer that has proposed an 80-home subdivision at a county club site in Alameda, already has a back-up plan if the proposal is denied.

Harbor Bay Isle Associates say it could instead develop a 212-room hotel and conference center, plus a restaurant and a fitness center, according to a report by The Alamedan, a local newspaper and news site. Specifics of the alternative plan were contained in a letter the Harbor Bay Isle Associates submitted to the city last week.
