LOS ANGELES-Martindale-Hubbell's list of 2014 US Top Ranked Law Firms includes Los Angeles-based firm Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP. The ranking is given to firms that have achieved the highest legal ability and ethical standards, according to JMBM.

The achievement places the firm in a small group of just over 2,000 that can claim the same title. Experts in the hospitality industry, JMBM has spent 30 years assisting in several high-profile transactions, including the recent acquisition of the Sheraton Gateway Hotel, which was purchased by Chinese investor Hazens Investment for $96 million. As the investor's first acquisition in a US market, JMBM located a Mandarin-speaking attorney to navigate language and cultural barriers.

The list is based on peer-reviews from lawyers and members of the judiciary. Firms reviewed for the honor must have staffs of 10 or more attorneys. Additionally, a minimum of one in three of the firm's attorney's must have achieved an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating.
