DES MOINES—Jones Lang LaSalle, the Chicago-based commercial real estate services firm, has just expanded into Iowa by opening a new brokerage office in the city of Des Moines, and has tapped Heath D. Bullock, a long-time local real estate veteran, to lead it. He will specialize in representing office, industrial and retail tenants and owners in both lease and sales transactions. JLL also plans to add additional brokers to the office over the coming months.

JLL gained a foothold in Central Iowa in 2011 when it was hired by Principal Financial Group as a facilities manager. And company officials say the opening of a brokerage services office will allow them to provide better service to the many other owners and occupiers of Iowa real estate.

“Across the Midwest, Jones Lang LaSalle has earned a reputation for achieving big results for our clients,” says Daniel T. Ryan, head of the firm's Central Region, which also includes offices in Minneapolis, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Indianapolis and two offices in Chicago. “We are excited to be expanding into a growing, vibrant city like Des Moines and are thrilled to have a respected and seasoned real estate professional like Heath Bullock leading the charge for us there.”

Bullock, 38, comes to Jones Lang LaSalle after more than 14 years with CBRE/Hubbell Commercial. “I am honored to be 'planting the flag' for JLL here in Iowa and am looking forward to building a market-leading commercial real estate team here.”
