WeWork Makes It A Dozen

NEW YORK CITY-The shared work-space concern adds a Midtown South location, positioning it to draw on the increasingly significant TAMI sector.

NEW YORK CITY-WeWork, the collaborative work space provider, has entered into a 15-year, 63,300-square-foot lease at 401 Park Ave. South, bringing the company up to a dozen locations around town. Asking rents in the building—where the firm will lease floors eight through 10—are currently $62 per square foot.

The 250,000-square-foot, 12-story office building, on the southeast corner of east 28th street and Park Avenue South, is in Midtown South, which likely will allow it draw heavily on the technology, advertising and media industries, which have made the area their hub. The building is owned by Meringoff Properties.
