LOS ANGELES-Ron McElroy, CEO of Real Office Center, an innovator in office properties, has hinted at potential Southern California office developments the company is planning. He calls the location of to-be properties the “Disneyland of innovative business in Southern California for the next half a century to come.”

McElroy did not reveal the location or timeline for the new office developments, but did explain that his strategy is to target the start-up culture. This year, the company focused on developing office properties in Honolulu and plans to continue developing throughout the Hawaiian Islands, beginning with Oahu. In Southern California, he pinpointed Orange County as the next key submarket for innovative office environments.

ROC refers to these developments as “innovation campuses,” explaining that they will help growth and expand start-up businesses, and change the status quo. The hints offered for these new office campuses are reminiscent of a new innovative office campus from a joint venture between Mar Ventures and Continental Development Corp. in El Segundo, CA. The office campus, however, will provide non-creative industries with creative-like office space that have open floor plans and facilitate collaboration.
