BATON ROUGE— Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) completed the sale of a seven-building, 519,137 square-foot portfolio of office properties in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana.

Songy Highroads, an Atlanta-based firm, purchased the properties from Kimco Realty Corporation. Songy Highroads recently purchased the Galleria Plaza, a mixed-use project in Houston.

Included in the Louisiana portfolio are Latter Center West in New Orleans, Sherwood Oaks, Citiplace One, Corporate Atrium, Acadian Centre, Corporate Two, and Citiplace Two located in Baton Rouge.

“This is a great portfolio,” JLL Managing Director Rudy Hubbard said. “The buildings are located in two markets that are experiencing strong economies and significant job growth. Furthermore, the portfolio offers opportunities to increase net operating income, and features a diverse tenant mix that includes engineering firms, governmental agencies, software companies and financial institutions--approximately 30 percent of the portfolio is leased to credit tenants.”

JLL's Hubbard, Executive Vice President Jimmy Board and Vice Presidents Kevin McConn and John Ream led the JLL team on the transaction. The team secured a CMBS loan for the acquisition through Deutsche Bank.
