ONTARIO, CA-On February 26, 2014, more than 1,000 business professionals will be at the County of San Bernardino's annual State of the County. The event is designed to provide information about the ways in which the County, residents, businesses and agencies are bringing innovation and resources together to further the Countywide Vision.

The event will be held at the Citizens Business Bank Arena located at 4000 E Ontario Center Pkwy. in Ontario starting at 4:30 p.m. An important aspect of the event is the opportunity to network with business leaders and industry peers as well as hear directly from County leadership on how collaboration, transparency and a commitment to economic opportunity is creating opportunities for all invested in the County to build a better future together.

The event includes a video featuring business and community leaders who will share how they are experiencing success in the County.

“The County as a whole is working collaboratively to advance the economic opportunities in the County for both business and residents. We're also working to maximize the human and physical assets that exist within our borders,” says San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors Chair Janice Rutherford.

“San Bernardino County is full of exciting opportunities for our residents and businesses. Our numerous educational institutions, advanced healthcare sector, abundant natural resources and our booming logistics industry are just a few of the assets that make this County such as great place to live, work, or start a business. The State of the County is our chance to tell our story and to share our successes and plans for the future with our residents and business community,” Rutherford adds.

GlobeSt.com has written many times about firms, and their relationship and involvement with the County of San Bernardino. For example, as GlobeSt.com reported in October, Trident Case, based in Ontario, revealed plans to move more of its manufacturing to the US from China. The firm acquired a 42,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Rancho Cucamonga to facilitate the expansion.

“Trident Case is a perfect example of how successful an innovative manufacturing company can be in the County of San Bernardino,” says Kelly Reenders, economic development administrator, County of San Bernardino. “While the company benefits from our large workforce and strategic location, our County and City representatives and associated team members have been able to provide significant assistance and resources to help Trident Case to grow and thrive—and more importantly hire more employees to further expand their market share.”
