ARLINGTON, TX – Mercantile Bank, a branch of Fort Worth-based Woodhaven National Bank, targeted Skymark Tower in North Arlington for a new branch. Citing high visibility and accessibility, the bank signed an 11-year lease with signage rights to two sides of the property.

Mercantile plans to open its second location in Arlington in 5,860 square feet of ground-floor space early in the second quarter.

"We looked at other prominent buildings and locations," says Renee Efimoff of Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance DFW, "and quickly decided this was the best option, best visibility and best space."

Woodhaven has six branches in the Metroplex, including a Mercantile Bank at 2229A W. Park Row in Arlington. The expansion search was focused on North Arlington.

Mercantile Bank will occupy space vacated by a financial institution. The bank plans to add ATMs and exterior signs facing I-30 and Cooper Street.

Renee Efimoff of Coldwell Banker represented Mercantile in the transaction and Kurt Cherry of PM Realty Group represented the landlord, CSFB Skymark Tower.
