AMERICAN CANYON, CA-City officials are considering a developer's draft plan for a massive 304-acre multi-use project would add 1,541 homes, and a defined downtown to the southern Napa County town.

Developer McGrath Properties of Oakland and the Jaeger family, partnering as American Canyon 1, LLC, have submitted a preliminary draft of the Watson Ranch Specific Plan, also referred to as the Town Center project. This according to a local media report citing public officials.

The plan calls for a mix of housing types, including single-family homes, townhomes and apartments; an elementary school; 36 acres of public parks and open space; commercial uses and a 200 room hotel.
