KENNER, LOUISIANA—  Kingfish Development II, L.L.C. purchased the former Rault office building in Kenner, Louisiana a suburb just west of New Orleans for an undisclosed price.

The property is a 133,312-square-foot office building located at 2400 Veterans Blvd near Williams Blvd, just one mile from the New Orleans Airport.

Kingfish plans to renovate the 32 year old building including all the common areas along with tenant improvements.  

“We are excited to add this property to our real estate portfolio and our first priority is to freshen up the best office building in Kenner with Class A finishes. We have made a long-term commitment to the City of Kenner and Jefferson Parish and we are excited to provide Class A office space to our current and future tenants,” said Hugh Uhalt, Principal of Kingfish Development.

The five-story building is currently 80% occupied with approximately 25,000 square feet of newly renovated space available for lease. Kingfish will oversee the leasing and Max J. Derbes, Inc.will manage the building.

The city of Kenner recently said it had a remarkably successful year in 2013 and Kenner Mayor Michael Yenni said 2014 could be the city's strongest year ever, citing increasing commercial development as factors in the future growth.
