LAKEWOOD, NJ-Sudler's 1.2-million square foot Corporate Park Lakewood is 100% occupied after the recent signing of long-term warehouse leases with Century Sports and Snyder's-Lance Inc. at 1715 Oak St.
Century Sports is an affiliate of Richmond, VA-based parent company Luck Stone, and Snyder's-Lance is based in Hanover, PA.
The building the companies now occupy is set within the 250-acre business park here, established a half-century ago. The park is located on Route 70 near interchange 88/89 of the Garden State Parkway.
Sudler made both speculative and tenant improvements to 61,660 square feet of warehouse space that included new bathrooms, HVAC systems, lighting, office space and new canopy entrances to the 20,600 square feet for Century Sports and a 21,000-square-foot space for Snyder's-Lance. Sudler also installed additional loading docks.
“We've weathered several down cycles in Sudler's 109-year history so we know how to attract and cater to successful, long-term tenants” said Peter Sudler, president and CEO.
“Corporate Park Lakewood is a great location and the upgrades and amenities we've provided will allow Century Sports and Snyder's-Lance, Inc. to conduct business comfortably here for many years,” he said.
The business park was established in the 1960s, as migration to Shore region suburbs led to increased needs for warehouse and distribution space for consumer goods.
Sudler recently broken ground on a 140,000 square foot 'spec' building at 1001 New Hampshire Ave in the complex. The new building will have state-of-the-art tilt-up panels, 32'-ceilings, and an ESFR sprinkler system.
Sudler was represented in-house on the lease transactions by Jeffrey H. Hale. Century Sports was represented by Robert Sticht of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, and Snyder's-Lance was represented by Frank Kobola of Kobola Real Estate.
