SEATTLE-Local officials will consider a proposal tonight for a new residential-retail in the city's Capitol Hill area.

The project has been proposed by Texas-based Mill Creek Residential and it envisons a six-story building that squeezes into existing spaces between 10th and 11th Avenues along East Pike Street.

The project would include up to 149 residential units, and 11,000 square feet of retail spread across the 10th and 11th Ave.ground floor frontage. Studio Meng Strazzara will design the building to be “in context with the distinguished character of the surrounding neighborhood in architectural elements, building scale, and massing,” according a documents sited in a post in the Capitol Hill Seattle Blog. Plans also call for parking for around 130 cars.
