PRESCOTT—Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University sees growth in the form of a fourth Prescott college, according to Ray Preston, communications and media relations manager for the college.
“This will be the nation's first College of Security and Intelligence,” Preston tells GlobeSt.com.
The new college was created to meet the growing demand for skilled cybersecurity and global security and intelligence experts.
The state-of-the–art facility will prepare students with real-world training in the computer security and forensic lab where they will have hands-on experience with offensive and defensive cybersecurity operations as well as intelligence and law enforcement applications. There is also the forensic science lab where students apply forensic science techniques to on-site security and intelligence investigations. Two new degree programs are scheduled to debut this fall.
Other Arizona colleges have seen grown recently. Bryman School, a healthcare-based learning facility recently added a second campus. And Grand Canyon University has major plans for expansion on the west side of Phoenix.
