CATHEDRAL CITY, CA-A complete renovation and re-branding are planned for the 285-room Desert Princess Golf Resort here.

The renovation resort is scheduled to begin in May and should be completed by fall, according to a local media report. Following the renovation the business will be operated as a Doubletree brand hotel.

The assett changed hands several months ago when it was purchased by Tarsadia Investments and Evolution Hospitality, both in Orange County. Evolution Hospitality is a property management firm whose properties include the Queen Mary, the ocean liner-turned-hotel in Long Beach and the Long Beach Hilton.
