TUCSON—Harrison Properties, LLC purchased 6.2 acres of vacant land at the southeast corner of 22nd Street and Alvernon Way from Evergreen Development Company for $1.4 million. The site is part of the former 19-acre DeAnza Drive-in Movie Theater. The 6.2 acres will be developed with approximately 100,000 square feet of professional office space. Greg Furrier, principal and Rob Tomlinson, retail specialists with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, represented the seller Evergreen Development Company in this transaction.

Rob Tomlinson and Greg Furrier sold other portions of the 19 acre property to Progressive Insurance and Quik Trip. There are eight acres remaining to be sold and developed, including frontage pads on both 22nd Street and Alvernon Way.

Evergreen bought the 19-acre property, which was Tucson's last operating drive-in movie theater from De Anza Land and Leisure Corporation in 2009. The theater opened in 1951 under the name Cactus Theater.
