LOS ANGELES-Flowerserve US Inc. has completed a lease transaction with the Clark Family for a 53,000-square-foot industrial storage facility at 2705 Leonis Blvd. in Vernon. The lease term is 5 years.

Flowerserve US serves the power, oil, and gas industries globally by manufacturing pumps, valves, seals and other services. The 53,000-square-foot lease will expand the company's Southern California storage space. “Flowserve required additional storage to complement its primary facility in Vernon, and this signing marks an expansion of their operation,” says John McMillan of Cushman & Wakefield, who represented the Clark Family along with his Cushman & Wakefield colleagues Jeff Sanita and Timothy Wallace. “It was the perfect solution to the company's requirement. Paul Sablock of Jones Lang LaSalle represented Flowerserve.

The property has historically had single tenants, first when the Clark Family used it for its own O.E. Clark Paper Box Co. and then to an unnamed full-fledged tenant. The property was leased nearly immediately after coming onto the market. “The region's industrial market continues to tighten up, as indicated by the fact that when this 60-year-old building became available, it wasn't on the market for very long,” McMillan adds. “It has been very well maintained by the Clark Family and drew considerable interest.”
