2014 Mortgage Bankers Association Conference - Orlando Florida
Jon Florin, Director of Capital Markets at Calkain Companies was on the floor of the 2014 Mortgage Bankers Association Conference, here are his observations:
- Across the board there is expectation of increased origination volume in 2014.
- Several life insurance companies are expecting to slowly take more risk to win deals and place increased allocations.
- There is increasing interest from borrowers on CMBS, with CMBS issuance expected to increase over 20% in 2014.
- An overall feeling that we are early in an expansionary phase and the growth in capital markets will continue for the foreseeable future.
