Google Has Stratospheric Technology Plans for Hangar One

SAN FRANCISCO-More than just a runway, Google subsidiary hopes to launch new technologies with help from NASA.

SAN FRANCISCO-Google Inc. has created a subsidiary for the blimp hangar and surrounding acquired land near San Francisco Bay, and it’s plans for the property might be nearly as unlimited as the world wide web was when Google first launched in 1996.

The 350,000 square-foot Hangar One at Moffett Federal Airfield could be used to develop robots, rovers, and even space technology, according to a report in the San Francisco Business Times that quoted government sources.
