HOUSTON—In an effort to expand NAI Houston's presence in the Houston industrial sector, the firms announces the addition of John Simons and Holden Rushing.
The industrial team, previously with Studley, joins NAI Houston to oversee the industrial corporate services division.
"We're excited to be part of NAI Houston and look forward to modeling and executing this new service line for the company," says Simons. "The timing couldn't be better to merge NAI's platform with our market intelligence and experience in industrial corporate services — it's a perfect collaboration with tremendous upside for our clients."
According to NAI, the Houston industrial market is strong and expected to see continued growth in 2014. Heavy demand is driving new development and at the end of 2013 there was over six million square feet under construction in Houston. If the market continues along the same growth pattern, it will only take approximately three quarters to absorb the new space when it delivers, predicts NAI.
"The contribution that these two gentlemen bring to NAI Houston is phenomenal," says Elke Laughlin, COO and executive vice president of NAI Houston. "Not only is this a strategic move for NAI Houston, it's also a game-changer when it comes to how we see deals crafted in the industrial marketplace. We're going to see substantial growth through John and Holden and, as NAI Global's 2013 Top Producing firm, with this dynamic duo, we should continue to see that designation for years to come."
