GRAHAM, TEXAS—Valew Truck Bodies, a custom truck manufacturer, has purchased a 141,066-square-foot industrial property in Graham, Texas west of Fort Worth.
California-based Valew acquired the property for an undisclosed amount. The truck manufacturer selected the site for its first manufacturing facility outside of California.
Todd Hawpe and Sarah Everett with Transwestern represented the seller, Meridian Bank of Texas and Mark Graybill, principal, and Scott Giordano with Lee & Associates' Dallas/Fort Worth office, represented the buyer in the transaction.
"The property was only on the market for 30 days, so we were able to quickly broker a deal for the buyer, who is expanding from Los Angeles into Texas to manufacture heavy duty truck bodies," says Graybill. "The property, which was in foreclosure, is a relatively newly constructed manufacturing plant on 150 acres of prime real estate, and is outfitted with crane service and comes specialized for metal fabrication, ultimately positioning the buyer very well for their future plans."
The Dallas/Fort Worth industrial market has seen an increase in sales activity during the first quarter 2014 says Transwestern. Currently the Transwestern central Industrial Group currently has over 1,000 properties on the market or under contract, totaling approximately $300 million in total sales volume.
