NEW YORK CITY-In the latest installment of the Knakal News Network, Massey Knakal Realty Services chairman Robert Knakal discusses the 2013 outer borough sales market.

Northern Manhattan led sales in 2013, says Knakal. Identified as the part of borough above East 96th Street and West 105th Street, Northern Manhatan saw an almost twofold increase in dollar value of sales for the year. As Knakal explains, the desire for equity and returns played a large role in the move of dollars into the less traditional NYC markets. Knakal looks at the sales numbers for Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx, and gives some insight into why those numbers were what they were for the year.
