PHOENIXOfficials from the City of Mesa and the Sunridge Hotel Group, a Mesa-based hospitality development and management company, announce a plan to build a Courtyard by Marriott in the Gateway Airport area.

“We are pleased to welcome another Marriott property to our community,” Mesa mayor, and airport authority board member Scott Smith says. “Travelers flying in to Gateway for business or pleasure will have a convenient place to stay with easy freeway access just outside the entrance to the airport. It's a great addition to the area and yet another sign of the maturity and growing success of southeast Mesa.”

Courtyard is a brand of hotels owned by Marriott International. The property is designed for business travelers but also accommodates families. Its rooms feature desks, couches, free Internet access, and breakfasts. The hotel will also feature the Courtyard Bistro, a full-service restaurant, and a 24-hour mini-mart.
