Avison Young Recruits New SVP

LOS ANGELES—Avison Young has hired David Callahan as SVP in the firm’s downtown office, GlobeSt.com has learned exclusively. Callahan will focus on tenant representation and landlord advisory services.

Callahan has 11 years of experience representing office tenants, previously serving as SVP at Cresa Los Angeles. “For the past 10 years or so, I have really enjoyed representing office clients,” Callahan tells GlobeSt.com. “I knew that Avison Young had a lot of capable brokers, and I really liked the people and the collaborative nature of the company.” Avison’s unique, service-focused platform also offers Callahan the opportunity to dabble in other market areas outside of the office sector. “Every now and then opportunities come up where there are retail or industrial options, and I really felt the platform at Avison Young and the market expertise of a lot of the brokers could benefit me when I do run into those opportunities,” he says.
