CHICAGO—Cushman & Wakefield has just realigned its business by forming a new US Investor Services Group and has promoted Shawn Mobley to lead it. The group will provide a single point of contact for property owners and contain the capital markets, agency leasing, and asset and property management services.

“Both our institutional-owner clients and local investor/owners will benefit from this new group and the enhanced integration of our services,” says John Santora, president and chief executive officer of corporate occupiers and investor services. “This is a continuation of our focus on delivering a results oriented, client focused solution at Cushman & Wakefield through a team-based culture.”

“Our outstanding growth in Chicago is a testament to Shawn's leadership and drive–and it is those skills that make him the right person for our new US Investor Services Group,” adds Jim Underhill, chief executive officer of the Americas. “This group has been created to give our clients fully integrated solutions.”

Other recent personnel moves have had a significant impact on Chicago operations of the New York-based firm. Last summer, GlobeSt.com reported that C&W had just hired Whit Heitman, Sam Badger and Brad Weiner as executive director, senior director and director, respectively, for their Chicago-based industrial group. From 2010 to 2013, the firm's Chicago office grew its head count from 178 to 440, company officials say.

Mobley, previously the central area president and market leader for Chicago, led Chicago-area operations during those years and will direct the search for a new market leader.

“This is an exciting opportunity for our investor service clients, for our firm, and for me,” says Mobley. “Clients ultimately want integrated solutions that help them address their specific business needs. This model will do that. It is also a unique opportunity for our Chicago office, with more national and regional leadership located in this dynamic market. Our next market leader will have a tremendous pool of talent to continue the incredible growth we have experienced recently.”
