DOVER, NJ-This town  is looking to expand its downtown as a transit-oriented neighborhood by redeveloping several public parking lots within walking distance of the train station for mixed use. The town is actively seeking proposals for multiple projects, with a submission deadline of May 16.

Michael A. Hantson, Dover’s engineer and planning and zoning officer talked with GlobeSt.com about what the town is looking for: “The idea is to complement and support – not compete with – our shops and offices in the center of downtown,” Hantson said. “We already have mixed-use and a historic, traditional look to the buildings, particularly along Blackwell Avenue.”
