Century Old Hotel Part of Downtown Redevelopment

WAXAHACHIE, TX—Southwest Securities FSB and Jim Lake Cos. have finalized the sale of the storied 101-year-old Rogers Hotel. The sale is part of the multimillion-dollar redevelopment of the historic town square in Waxahachie’s, a small town near Arlington.

Southwest Securities had foreclosed on the high-profile property at 100 N. College St. in early 2012, hiring SCM Real Estate Services, now Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance DFW, to spearhead an adaptive reuse project for conversion to office and retail space. Judy Nitzinger of Arlington-based Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance DFW held the leasing assignment and brokered the sale for the bank. The buyer, who is redeveloping two other properties on the square, was represented by independent broker Rocky Stones of Waxahachie.
